President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of four new Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service to fill existing vacancies and strengthen leadership and service delivery.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
The statement was signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Eno Olotu.
According to the statement, the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Warrens Bekearedebo Augusta (Bayelsa State), Jones-Nebo Nkiruka Bella (Enugu State), Aminu Sani Yargaya (Kano State) and Shoretire Ayinda Kamil (Ogun State).
The statement noted that the appointments followed what it described as a rigorous and transparent selection process in line with the administration’s commitment to meritocracy and excellence in the civil service.
It added that the new Permanent Secretaries bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their respective roles, which would further strengthen public service delivery and support the government’s development agenda.
Reacting to the development, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, congratulated the appointees and commended President Tinubu for his commitment to transparency, meritocracy and professionalism in the civil service.
Walson-Jack said the appointments reflect the administration’s resolve to build a competent and results-oriented public service capable of meeting the needs of Nigerians.
