A Nigerian sports administrator and entrepreneur, Godspower Odedede, will be among the speakers at the 3rd Career Lecture on Human Kinetics and Health Education Profession in Nigeria organised by the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education at Ahmadu Bello University.
The lecture is scheduled to hold on April 14, 2026, at the Yusuf Bala Usman Hall, Main Campus Samaru, Zaria, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Odedede, who is the Chief Executive Officer of G-O(DE)3 Sports Consult Ltd, is expected to speak on career opportunities and entrepreneurship in sports, dance, recreation and tourism, highlighting the vast economic potential within Nigeria’s growing sports industry.
His presentation will focus on how students and young professionals can explore emerging opportunities in sports entrepreneurship, including sports event management, sports academies, fitness and wellness services, sports tourism, sports facility development, and sports equipment business.
According to the organisers, the annual career lecture is designed to expose students to diverse professional opportunities within the Human Kinetics and Health Education profession while bridging the gap between academic training and industry practice.
Other dignitaries expected at the event include Hadiza Asabe Mohammed and Balarabe Garko Sani, while the programme will be chaired by Mohammed Sanusi.
The Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Adamu Ahmed, will serve as the Chief Host, while Ahmed Abubakar Audi will attend as the Special Guest of Honour.
Odedede is widely known for his contributions to sports development, sports business promotion and grassroots sports administration in Nigeria.
