Nigeria’s representatives, Nigeria Customs Service Volleyball Club, will take centre stage as the 2026 Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship serves off in Cairo, Egypt, with an action-packed opening day.
The Nigerian side is set to face Kampala Capital City Authority Volleyball Club in a crucial Pool C encounter scheduled for 7pm, as they begin their quest for continental success against some of Africa’s top sides.
The championship, which officially gets underway on April 13, 2026, features a packed Day One schedule with six matches across two halls, showcasing the depth and competitiveness of women’s club volleyball on the continent.
In the same pool, C.F. Carthage will take on Directorate of Criminal Investigations Volleyball Club in one of the standout fixtures of the day.
Elsewhere, in Pool A, hosts and record champions Al Ahly Volleyball Club begin their campaign against National Alcohol Factory Volleyball Club, with the home side expected to capitalize on strong local support.
Pool B will see Kenya Pipeline Volleyball Club face KSC Volleyball Club, while Gender Light Club go up against VCL Volleyball Club in another competitive tie.
In Pool D, Letto Team Volleyball Club will battle Vipers and Partners Volleyball Club in a 2pm clash expected to deliver power and intensity as both teams look to gain an early advantage.
With matches running from midday through the evening across two venues, the opening day promises a thrilling start.
