The Solid Miners have been paired against WestGets FC of Edo State in this year’s President Federation’s Cup Round of 64 fixture.
According to the draw’s information released by the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF), Nasarawa United will square up against the unfamiliar foes on Tuesday, 19th May, 2026, at the Prince Abubakar Audu Stadium, Anyigba, Kogi State, by 1pm.
The winners between either side will face the winners between Sporting Supreme FC of Abuja and Ejigbo City FC of Osun State in the round of 32.
Nasarawa United who twice emerged runners-up of the oldest single knockout inter-club competition in Nigeria in 2016 against defunct FC Ifeanyi Ubah in Lagos, and 2021 versus Bayelsa United in Benin City, exited at the quarter-final stage in 2025, losing to Ebonyi State’s Abakaliki United on penalty shootout in Benin City, Edo State.
The Coach Mangut Mbwas-tutored Solid Miners won this year’s Nasarawa State version of the President Federation’s Cup, beating city rivals, FC Basira, by 1-0 in the final to retain the title, and securing one of the two tickets for the national competition.
