Chairman of Nasarawa United Football Club, Mr. Solomon Babanjah, has been appointed as North Central Zonal Co-coordinator of the President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Support Organisation, TSO, Football Project, under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Also appointed is the Club’s Director of Media and Communications, Mr. Eche Amos, who will serve as a member in the national Media Committee of the Organisation.
Their task, among others, is to use sports to galvanize mobilization for President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, boost national unity, and development, in line with the Organization’s vision of promoting football through politics.
As co-, coordinator, Mr. Solomon is expected to oversee the North-Central Zonal implementation, liaise with State Chapters, and coordinate competitions and development programmes within the Zone.
According to the leadership of the Organization, the football project would also be an avenue for talent discovery, promote social cohesion and deepen community engagement in corroboration with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu(GCFR).
Parts of the activities embedded in the Football Directorate of the TSO include hosting a football tournaments across the six geo-political zones of the country, namely, South-South, South-East, South-West, North-Central, North-West, and North-East, respectively, organizing coaching clinics, refereeing courses, and administrative workshops to strengthen football management structure at local level, as well as leveraging sports as a medium for community outreach and civil participation.
Kwara United FC of Ilorin General Manager, Bashir Badawiy, is the National Director of Football of the Tinubu Support Organisation.
