City FC Abuja continued their impressive momentum in the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League with a determined 1–1 draw against Kada Warriors at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.

The Citizens produced another resilient performance away from home, battling back from a goal down to secure a hard-earned point and extend their unbeaten run to four matches.

The Matchweek 12 encounter began at a high tempo, with both teams showing early intent in front of an energetic home crowd in Kano.

Kada Warriors eventually found the breakthrough when Haruna Abubakar capitalised on an opportunity to give the hosts the lead. The goal forced City FC Abuja to respond, and the visitors gradually grew into the game with improved control and attacking pressure.

Despite creating promising moments before the break, the Citizens went into halftime trailing by a single goal.

City FC Abuja returned for the second half with renewed determination and greater attacking urgency.

Their persistence paid off when defender Oscar Otu stepped forward to deliver the crucial equaliser, finishing confidently to bring the Citizens level and silence the home supporters.

The goal shifted the momentum of the match, with City FC Abuja continuing to push forward while maintaining defensive discipline to deny Kada Warriors any clear opportunities.

Both sides searched for a late winner, but the contest ultimately ended level, with the Citizens securing a valuable point on the road.

The result extends City FC Abuja’s unbeaten run to four matches — the longest in the club’s Nigeria National League history.

It also marks the club’s highest away points tally in a single Nigeria National League campaign, highlighting the team’s growing confidence and maturity away from home.

Recent results underline that progress:
