Following the conclusion of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League Season, we are pleased to announce that we are embarking on a 21-day break for our players, technical crew and backroom staff.

After our management meeting held at the Club’s House earlier today in Lafia, the break will run from today, Tuesday, 23rd June, 2026, to 13th July, 2026.

This period is designed to allow the squad to rest, recover, and reflect after a demanding league and cup campaign that saw us finishing 6th on the twenty-team league table with 56 points, and exiting the FA Cup at the Semi-Final stage after losing 2-4 via penalty shootouts to Ikorodu City FC, when regulation time ended 1-1 apiece.

While we were unable to secure any laurels this season in the Nigeria Premier Football League and President Federation’s Cup(FA Cup), the Mr. Solomon Babanjah-led Board of the Club wish to express our deepest gratitude to all stakeholders whose relentless support sustained the club throughout the campaign.

The amazing individuals include;

i. The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, for his sustained financial and moral encouragement. His passion to sports and talent development and belief in our team’s potential provided the foundation for our stability all season.

ii. The Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, for standing firmly with the team and amplifying the Government’s support at every stage.

iii. The super Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, for his valuable policy guidance and personal interest in the welfare of the Club.

iv. The State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, for his professional guidance and legal support.

v. The Permanent Secretary, Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Dr. Stephen Iliya Sasetu, and entire Staff of the Ministry, for their administrative and professional guidance, diligence, and tireless work behind the scenes that ensured the smooth running of the club’s operations.

vii. The Nasarawa State Football Association headed by Salisu Usman Galadima, for its regulatory guidance and solidarity.

viii. Our great Supporters’ Club led by Abdulsalam Abubakar, and the entire fanbase, whose chants, prayers, and presence at our match venues remained our 12th man, even in difficult moments.

ix. The Media, particularly members of the Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Nasarawa State Chapter, for your objective reportage, constructive criticism, and for keeping our audience informed throughout the campaign.

x. And to other critical stakeholders, partners and well-wishers, too numerous to mention, who stood firmly with us during the just-concluded football league campaign.

Yes, we could not lay our hands on any silverware nor secure a continental ticket at the end of the 2025/26 season, however, the lessons have been nothing but crystal clear.

As a Management, we want to assure our amazing supporters and fans that we are already undertaking a comprehensive review of the past season, and doing everything within our powers, with the sustained support of the Nasarawa State Government and partners, to rejig the team to make it a major title contender in the 2026/27 campaign.

We hope to return from the 21-day break with renewed determination as our target for the upcoming season is to compete for honours and secure a continental ticket, not just as a parting gift for our number one supporter and financier, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, who will be exiting the exalted office after successfully completing his two terms, but also as a mark of appreciation for all those who have been standing by us, in thick and thin.

We shall resume pre-season training on Tuesday, July 14th, 2026, and head straight into preparations for the next football campaign.
