Oyigbo (Rivers), July 8, 2026 -The National APC Christian Leaders Forum of Nigeria (NACLFON) has said Christians will vote massively for President Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming general elections.

Arch. Bishop Lucky Aroh, Rivers Coordinator of the forum, made the remark at an interdenominational prayer summit in Oyigbo, Rivers on Wednesday.

Speaking on the theme, ”In due season,” the coordinator x-rayed the Tinubu’s administration, saying it had done very well.

According to him, Nigerians have yet to enjoy the dividend of the present administration because most state governors have failed to deliver good governance in their respective states.

Aroh explained that the states had failed to deliver infrastructure and economic growth commensurate to the huge monthly federal government allocation.

“We cannot continue to focus on public complaints without holding our governors to account.

“Yes, Nigerians are complaining about Tinubu’s administration but they have failed to hold the governors accountable.

“The fuel subsidy removal of the Tinubu led administration no doubt affected cost of living but let’s look at the brighter side,” Aroh said.

Also speaking, Mr Acho Elechi, Oyigbo LGA APC Chairman, commended the group for their support to Tinubu’s re-election and pledged to strengthen collaborations with the church.

“I’m here to tell the people of Oyigbo to work with this group because they mean well for our country.

“Here in Oyigbo, APC has recorded an alarming increase in voter registration and PVCs collection.

“My people are ready with their PVCs; in my ward, Oyigbo Ward 9 alone, we have more than 20,000 registered voters,” he said.

Elechi emphasised the need for governors to deliver democracy dividend to ameliorate the sufferings caused by subsidy removal.

According to him, Tinubu had delivered more funds to the states and local councils, it is left for them to drive development to the grassroots.

This, he said, would be the only way to complement federal government’s efforts.

Ealier, Mr Elias Chidume, Oyigbo coordinator of the forum, said that so far, the group had massively mobilised Christians for the APC ahead of the general elections.

He said that praying for the success of the APC was part the forum’s collective commitment, adding, ”aside prayers, we have widely interfaced with residents of Oyigbo.

“We are doing this to ensure that residents, including women, vote massively for President Tinubu and all APC candidates,” he said.
