UN-WCD advocates religious tolerance for global peace

Port Harcourt, July 20, 2026- The United World Congress of Diplomates (UN-WCD) has called for religious tolerance, humanitarian service to ensure global peace.

Amb. Larry-Goodwill Ajiola, the group’s Head of Policy and Diplomatic Affairs made the call recently in Port Harcourt during an induction of new Peace Ambassadors.

According to him, global peace would remain a mirage without national peace, humanitarian service and the show of empathy.

Ajiola, therefore, charged the new inductees and other stakeholders to take full responsibility for there actions.

He urged them to be conscious and seek effective collaboration whenever they noticed lapses that required collective solution.

Ajiola, however, expressed confidence in Nigerian leaders while also urging citizens to refrain from unhealthy criticism.

He said: “Our leaders are good enough to fix Nigeria’s problems, though constructive criticism is necessary for every thriving democracy, we should also understand our challenges.

“We should begin to inculcate positivity rather than promoting negativity on efforts geared towards nation building”.

The inductees commended UN-WCD for prioritizing human dignity and mutual care and pledged their continued commitment.

Responding, one of the inductees, Bishop Fidelia Oyemeke of Peculiar Believers Assembly, said for 18 years she had initiated several programmes that had positively impacted the women especially widows in Delta state.

Oyemeke also a beneficiary of the UN-WCD humanitarian service award, said the recognition would endear her to do more.

Also,  Pastor Uchenna John of Kingdom Wealth Assembly, commended UN-WCD’s efforts on national and family peace through humanitarian service.

According to him, humanitarian and community service had remained a core mandate of his ministry.
