The Swiss Based tactician Coach Antony adeyemi adedeji has advised the super falcons to focus more on getting world Cup tickets before thinking of winning the WAFCON title.
Coach Antony adeyemi adedeji said this why speaking live on the show Sport Gallery on Crowther 88.5 FM OYO with the anchor Faith Akindele (Mr Stereo). He said if their focus is to defend the title they may lose both the World Cup tickets and the WAFCON title if care is not taken, if they get into the semi final and the world cup tickets are secured then they can think of winning the WAFCON title.
Coach Triple A says as we all know there are additional countries in the competition and they are not coming to joke as they all know what is at stake so it will be more competitive, the last edition it takes luck for super falcons to come from 2 goals down to defeat host Morocco, so if we believe such can happen in this year WAFCON we are only deciving ourselves, Morocco, South Africa, Ghane and Zambia and others are here to challenge so Super Falcons must be well prepared.
The woman African cup of nation kick started this weekend July 26 till August 16, Nigeria Super Falcons will open their title defense against debutant Malawi on July 28 .
