Officials of the Kebbi Beach Soccer Association have paid a courtesy visit to the Kebbi State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Hon. Nura Bala Fingilla, as preparations intensify for the second round of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL).
The delegation, led by the Association’s Chairman, Alhaji Mahmud Hadejia, included the General Secretary and Team Manager of the state beach soccer club, Abdullahi Yahaya. During the meeting, the chairman briefed the commissioner on the outcome of the first round of the league and outlined plans for the upcoming second round scheduled to take place in Kaduna in the coming weeks.
Hadejia appealed to the state government, through the Ministry of Youths and Sports Development, to provide logistical support—specifically a bus—to ease transportation challenges for the team traveling to Kaduna.
In his response, Commissioner Fingilla commended the association and the team for their commitment to the development of beach soccer in Kebbi State. He noted that their efforts have brought recognition to the state on a broader stage, highlighting their dedication and hard work.
The commissioner assured the delegation of the ministry’s support, promising to provide a vehicle to facilitate the team’s journey for the second round of the NBSL.
The visit also featured the presentation of the Kebbi Fishers’ new kit for the season, along with the official NBSL magazine, marking a symbolic highlight of the engagement.
