Ryan Masajedi to Lead Nigeria’s Volleyball Technical Development across teams. Speaking at the event,NVBF President Musa Nimrod said Masajedi would serve as technical adviser to the women’s national team, head coach of the men’s team, and also oversee the Under-18 programme.

“He has a big role to play in the developmental aspect. He is going to work with the national coaches, and after one year, we expect that they will pick up more knowledge and understanding,” Nimrod said.

The federation president disclosed that national coaches have also received two-year contracts, giving them enough time to develop under the guidance of the Japanese expert.

“For now, all the national coaches are going to work for 24 months. We expect that they will gain more knowledge and tomorrow they can stand on their own,” he added.

Masajedi said he was pleased to be part of a project that had already recorded success, particularly with Nigeria’s women’s teams, junior players and athletes competing abroad.

He expressed confidence in Nigerian coaches and players, saying their achievements showed that the country possessed the talent required to compete at a higher level.
