Enyimba Chairman, FIFA Amb. Kanu Nwankwo has assured the players that all their needs will be cared for, urging them to give their best this season.
He spoke to the players at the Uyo Township stadium on Saturday after Enyimba drew 0-0 in a friendly game with Akwa United.
The game was part of a series of friendlies by the People’s Elephants as they prepare for the 2026/2027 NPFL season.
The chairman has been actively involved in the team’s preseason activities, being present Aba, Port Harcourt, Warri and now Uyo.
Enyimba will begin their campaign with a trip to Minna to face Niger Tornadoes after which they will return home to battle Shooting Stars. The nine-time champions will hope to get their tenth title this season, remaining as the country’s most decorated club.
He urged them to represent the club well this season as the club has lofty heights to attain.
“The club is big, the players must be big and the result must be big as well. The sweetest thing in Enyimba is result,” he said said.
He assured the players that welfare will be prioritised. He promised that whatever is meant for the players will reach them as and when due.
He promised to do whatever he can to make the players happy and exhorted the players to get results.
